At the age of 10, his mother handed him a disposable film camera

on a family trip to Disney World.

“You can take pictures of anything you like,

but don't get the sun in the images.”

So you know what he did.

And he was hooked.

Hi - I'm Edward. I'm a Photographic Artist living in Brampton who does freelance work all over Canada. I also do commercial photography and videography for personal and corporate clients.

Weddings, Fashion and Executive Portraiture work has taken me coast to coast in Canada, and I have been published in the US and Mexico.

During the Ice Storm of late 2013 an image of mine went viral, being used by CityTV and CBC, Fox, CNN, NBC, Al-Jazeera English, and even the Weather Network in Germany. A year later CBC was still using the image in its newscasts when referencing the Ice Storm, and the Toronto Star showed the image as the cover image when they put together the best images of the Ice Storm.

I do private commissions and project work found here at edwardmoffat.com. I get to explore imagery I ordinarily don't get to do in a commercial setting. From helping models build their portfolios to exploring the beauty of the Canadian shield, or the BC or Newfoundland coastlines, I enjoy a variety of shooting styles.  My Fine Art prints are available from greeting-card size, up to over 2 metres so the imagery you see in the Fine Art sections is for you.

I have held several positions on the Board of Directors at Beaux-Arts Brampton – One of only two galleries in Brampton. I have also taught both Portraiture, and (currently) Videography for Photographers, at Humber College's Photographic Techniques program, and I teach photography and lighting classes privately in my studio, or at Beaux-Arts.

I take photography seriously, and pour myself into your projects.

Myself?

I don't take that so seriously.

Obviously.
